Cuddle Soft Quilts

I have started creating cute, cuddle soft baby quilts . . . blankets . . . quilts!

WHAT IS A QUILT? For most of us, we think of quilts as having lots of squares, triangles or stars pieced together. However, “quilt” actually just refers to multi-layers of fabric sewn together and “quilting” refers to the sewing techniques used to do this. It could just be two large pieces of fabric sewn together with another fiber in between. The skills involved in sewing a full size, beautifully designed patterned quilt are intense and the results are often a work of art.

Technically, these are quilts and except for the math involved, I really enjoy it.  Currently, I prefer to quilt in small sizes with simple designs. Not so much a work of art as a work of love to be cuddled.  I find an interesting pattern or panel and design the quilt around that theme.

I am really looking forward to making these with a class ACVS (After Covid Vaccine Success).
